About Borislava
Born in Sofia, Bulgaria, during the era of communism, Borislava experienced a childhood shaped by restriction and adversity. Despite these challenges, she pursued education with determination, ultimately earning a master’s degree in accounting and auditing.
At 25, she made a bold and life-altering decision to move to the United States in search of freedom and self-discovery. Immersing herself in creativity, she explored photography, graphic design, and storytelling—uncovering a newfound sense of purpose.
Her journey of transformation led her to study healing practices such as yoga, qi gong, shamanism, and secret plant medicine, deepening her understanding of consciousness and personal liberation. Drawn to the subconscious mind’s power to heal, she now works with quantum healing hypnosis and regression techniques, helping others access deeper layers of self-awareness and healing.
Through BIRTHCAGE, Borislava empowers others to break free from the constraints of the past. Blending creativity, personal experience, and healing modalities, she guides individuals on a path of self-discovery, resilience, and transformation.
In addition to her creative work, Borislava offers healing sessions through quantum hypnosis techniques, supporting others on their journeys of emotional and spiritual awakening.

Author Statement
The idea of BIRTCAGE emerged in fragments as a private reckoning of journal pages, photographs, and a deep-seated desire for self-expression. Now it stands as an invitation to examine what confines us and what calls us out.
-
BIRTHCAGE was born from a deep personal need to make sense of confinement, both physical and emotional, and to explore the quiet strength it takes to rebuild oneself. It began as a reflection on identity, trauma, and moments that crack us open, revealing what lies beneath. Each story in BIRTHCAGE is a piece of that journey: a search for freedom, meaning, and transformation. What started as a private reckoning became a creative offering—one meant to resonate with anyone who’s ever had to unlearn, break free, or begin again.
-
BIRTHCAGE is deeply personal, but it isn’t a traditional autobiography. The stories draw from my lived experiences, but they have been shaped, distilled, and sometimes fictionalized to reflect broader emotional truths. It’s less about recounting the facts and more about capturing the inner landscape of transformation—how it feels to come undone, to confirm your own conditioning, and to find freedom on the other side. In that sense, BIRTHCAGE is autobiographical in spirit, even if not in strict detail.
-
The name BIRTHCAGE holds a tension between two powerful ideas: confinement and becoming. It speaks to the paradox of being shaped—and sometimes trapped—by the very structures that first give us form: family, culture, belief, identity. But it also hints at the possibility of rebirth through awareness and rapture. The cage isn’t just a prison; it’s a starting point. Naming the project BIRTHCAGE was a way of honoring both the pain of limitation and the beauty of breaking free.
-
BIRTHCAGE is a collection of personal stories—part memoir, part reflection—told through a lens of emotional truth. It exists in several forms: a hardcover edition that pairs the writing with striking photographs, as well as more minimal paperback and digital versions without images. The book is available in both English and Spanish to reach a broader emotional landscape. Regardless of the format, each version invites the reader into the same core experience: an intimate journey through conditioning, confinement, and rebirth.

There is no current exhibition at the moment, but one is in the works. I’m developing a new proposal that will bring BIRTHCAGE to life in a physical space, where the stories, images, and silences can be experienced more intimately. If you would like to be notified when and where that happens, you can join the mailing list or follow along on social media for updates.

The BIRTHCAGE and LA JAULA paperback editions are available through Amazon and Barnes & Noble. E-books are coming soon. The hardcover version, which includes artistic nudity, is offered exclusively through Lulu’s print-on-demand platform. All formats are available both in English and Spanish. You can find direct links on the Books page.

Freedom, to me, is the quiet act of returning to yourself, beneath the noise, beneath the roles, beneath what you were told to be. It’s not always loud or visible. Sometimes it’s a boundary, a rapture, or a refusal. At other times, it’s about softness, presence, or surrender. Freedom is less about escape and more about remembering: who you are when you are no longer performing, and what becomes possible when you finally are.

Right now, I’m offering QHHT, past life regression, and hypnosis sessions—holding space for others as they explore their inner landscapes. I’m also working on the next BIRTHCAGE exhibition, envisioning how these stories can be felt beyond the page. And a new book is quietly taking shape—something that builds on this work, but also moves into new terrain. What’s next is still unfolding, but it’s guided by the same intention: to explore what it means to wake up, remember, and come home to yourself.
